Internships

The Power Media internship program, which provides schools with digital media lesson plans and guides, teaches students practical, real world journalism and media skills and exposes them to the numerous opportunities within the digital media field. During the course of each students tenure with us, students receive digital media training and are introduced to key principles of digital journalism and photography, videography, editing, online marketing and public relations. Students contribute articles, photos, videos, podcasts and articles to the school website and create a portfolio of work that is invaluable for their college application or job search once they have graduated.

Through Power Media’s unique relationships with industry professionals, interns are provided with exclusive opportunities to act as part of the media and interact with athletes, coaches and experts. Up to this point, Power Media interns have worked with the NY Giants, Washington Redskins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, Washington Wizards and many more professional teams. Schools and students are introduced to guest lecturers and experts within various fields in digital media. Overall, the program encourages students to follow their passions and explore topics of personal interest while practicing and honing their skills.
