Don Bosco vs STAC Football Game Finalized
Rumors have been swirling around the high school football world for weeks now about a Don Bosco Prep vs. St. Thomas Aquinas football game. Well, the game has been officially scheduled! Don Bosco will travel to STAC on September 14 to take on the Florida powerhouse. Throughout the years, Bosco has had success on the road, beating the likes of De La Salle, Prattville, Gilmen Prep, St. Ignatius and Manatee. There only slip was against St. Xavier back in 2008 when they started the season ranked #2 in the country. The odds were not in the Ironmen’s favor as St. Xavier was playing their fourth game while Bosco was playing their first.
The loss of an exceptional senior class, including the likes of Darius Hamilton, Elijah Shumate, Leonte Carroo, Mike Yankovich and others, will make this a major challenge for the Ironmen. However, the Ironmen focus on the concepts of team work and work ethic to overwhelm the majority of their opponents. It will be no different next football season as new faces will be counted on to lead the team and make big plays.
STAC comes off a year in which they were 10-3 and return a team that includes a very good defensive line, manned by Joey Bosa and Anthony Moten.
The game will be marked on the calendars of every high school football fan and could be watch be all as well. Currently, schools are in talks with ESPN to air the game on television.
